All--

Quick (hopefully!) question: Will RAM from a G4 Powerbook 1.33 GHz (PC2700) work in an iBook G4 1.2 GHz, which normally takes PC2100?

Reason for the question is that I have one of each, and am going to sell the iBook. I'd like to transfer one of the 256 Mb sticks from the PB to the iBook and then replace that stick with a 1 Gb stick.

Thanks in advance!

Bob

Yes but... it will only help if your iBook has 256 Mb RAM total right now.
The iBook has only one socket and 256 Mb soldered on. If your iBook already has 512 Mb RAM, that means it already has a 256 Mb module in the only socket.

Thanks--I was hoping to hear from you! The iBook currently just has the 256 Mb chip soldered in.

Best,

Bob
