Will purchases be lost, if country changed in AppStore?

Hi guys,

I just wanted to know if i change my current country from app store, the same account, will i lose the previous purchases? Because, i got a gift card for the US account and i am going to remove my credit card and change my country to US and put in the gift card. If i do so, will i lose the purchases i made before the country change? And is it possible for me to change back to my country once i finish the purchases with the Gift Card?
