Will repair costs for the AW1 go down when the 2 is released?

As the title says, do you think repair costs will go down? My SS cracked due to me hitting it on a door when opening it, and the impact just happened to be on the corner of the screen... I am debating on whether or not I should wait and see if the cost changes, or selling mine on eBay and then buying an AW2. Thanks!

Sapphire crystal cost isn't changing.

I really doubt it will change. I don't recall repair costs going down previously.

Apple doesn't do dedicated screen replacement on the AW like they do with the iPhone. You'd have to pay the out of warranty price.

The only dedicated service they do for the AW is battery replacement.
