Will the Restore feature in itunes erase all my iphone content?
I want to restore my 3g to factory settings (selling it), but want to load all my old 3g phone apps and stuff to my new 4g on thursday???
 
Sync with iTunes. Make sure you have the appropriate boxes checked in iTunes to get everything you want off your iPhone. When you activate your iPhone 4 and sync, it'll load everything that was on your old iPhone.
