Haven't had a crash since 2.2.

Duh? So they haven't had a crash since they updated, what's your point? I think someone turned off their English interpreter. ;) :p

I... *shifty eyes* interpreted...*pause for groans* it to mean that he hadn't had a crash since 2.2, but he had updated since then and so was fine.

I've never heard anyone use his wording to describe a current state of affairs.

Example: "I haven't had a drink since college," and the person is out of college. Do you ever hear it used for current states?

Safari always crashes on guardian.co.uk when I want to close it. If I press the home button while on the guardians home page, the top bar becomes transparent, and then the rest of the window just disappears. I don't know if you can call that a crash, but I still find it irritating

I haven't had Safari crash on me yet after 1.1.4, 1.1.5, 2.0, 2.01, 2.1, and the recent 2.2 firmware. Assuming it's pretty much the same thing on iPod to iPhone I'd say you should restore. And do not restore from backup either.

I have 2.2 and have gotten several crashes.
ONLY several in the past days 2.2 has been out.
When I had 2.1.1 it often crashed without reason.

Read it as "I haven't had a crash since installing 2.2" and that should clear it up for you.

more like....I haven't had a crash since [I upgraded to] 2.2

or I haven't had a drink since [I've been in] college.

not necessarily wrong, just vague and nonspecific

It was vague, but since the current state of affairs is readily known I figured the interpretation was slightly obvious. Plus, I wanted to give you a hard time. :D

On 2.1 my whole phone would crash. On 2.2 now just the application crashes. You're never going to get it 100% stable, but it is getting better, I think.
