So when SDK is released and more apps start coming out, will these apps dependent on a Wifi connection?

Most the apps available on the i-touch now rely on a wifi connection, which is not too great if you are traveling in a car or on a plane.

I would like to see games and some sort of word processing apps that don't need a wifi connection.

We won't know specifics until the SDK is released, but I expect to see several apps that don't depend on a connection. I plan to make a "note pad" that will synch with a database when you connect, but will otherwise function when not connected (I've actually done just that for a Tablet PC, and want to make an iPod version as a "learning project" when the SDK comes out).
