I set up my new 7+ without using a backup and it is all set up, though I want to synch over some music from my iMac, so I plug it into Mac and iTunes recognizes it, though it pops up with a screen "Welcome to Your New iPhone" and it asks me if I want to set up as new iPhone or Restore from a backup. I was concerned that if I chose to set up as a new iPhone that it might try to overwrite everything on it? OR will choosing to set up as a new iPhone through iTunes not affect anything currently on the phone?

Thanks.

If it's a new phone there shouldn't be anything on there. Anyhow i always set my new phones us as new and start from scratch. Some say I'm wasting time but I don't mind and it's a fresh start

I already downloaded all of the apps I plan to use, configured them and loaded photos on it.
