It would start to explain why Apple made all those Maps deals, their license with Google Maps probably does not allow live voice guidance, but I wouldn't be surprised if iOS 5.1, 5.2, or 6 added the feature.

Seems to me like the Siri system would handle it very nicely.

From the history of Apple releases, it will probably be saved for a major release. Since Apple bought Placebase, they will probably be using it sooner or later for their own integrated mapping software.

though not much different, i much prefer navigons voice over siri.

Can't wait. I use MotionX which is great and cheap, but it would be amazing to have it integrated into Siri.

"Siri, there's an accident one mile ahead. What's the fastest way around it?" :D

Maybe that'll work with 3rd party apps ? I do remember that during the keynote they said it'll work with apps from app store

Better yet...

Siri: "There is an accident ahead, would you like to avoid it?"

Me: "Hell yeah!"

Me: "Siri, will you marry me?"

Siri: "No need to get married, my purpose in life is to please you."
