Will slightly upgraded Base Lvl MP handle 2.5k in resolve?

Hey Everyone,
I am looking at both the 4 and 6 core new Mac Pro models. Ideally I would get the 6 core, but I'm not certain if I am going to be able to do that just yet. My question is this, if I end up going with the 4 core instead, how would I fare working in DaVinci Resolve with 2.5k Raw footage?

16GB Memory
Dual AMD FirePro D500
