The iphone 4 is being used by my son as an itouch.
I didnt wipe it or do anything. Except the sim is disabled. I had my iphone 4 setup as SMS text in imessage, and not email address.

question
When i get text messages, will he be getting the same text messages popping up in imessage? Or would that just occur if people were texting me to a linked imessage email address?

thanks

They're not going to show up on the 4 since you were sending iMessage with your phone number and you already took the sim out of the 4. You're fine.

what is my ID?

Your Apple ID is the email and password you use to sign into iTunes, iCloud, and other Apple services. However, you don't need to know it to sign out. Using the iP4, simply go to Settings > Messages > Send & Recieve At, tap your Apple ID at the top of the page and select sign out. That phone will no longer receive iMessages or texts.

Thanks to all of you!!!

Much appreciated
