Will the 14" MBP with M1 Pro (not Max) fire up fans with external 4k display?

Specifically the 10-core 16-gpucore with 32MB RAM and 1TB SSD - connected to a 4k external display over DisplayPort (via a Caldigit TS3+ for example), in clamshell mode.

My previous MBPros all had crazy fans (2015 13", 2015 15", 2017 nTB) at the slightest load - eg YouTube.

Tasks such as screenrecording with Quicktime or doing an iMovie export, or even 5 tabs on chrome, would have the fans go extremely loud to point it affected productivity, or interfered with audio recording.

I mention clamshell mode because it should mean the laptop only has to drive 1 display.

Have 14" MBP with M1 Max chip driving 2 4K@60 monitors, minimum 8 tabs open in Chrome and one screen dedicated for videos, and have not had the fans turn on-- or not that I've noticed.

Always in clamshell mode. This laptop handles everything like a champ. Everything felt sluggish on my 2016 tbMBP in comparison (when driving two 4K monitors).

My Intel MBP stays quiet on a 4K display unless you do heavy tasks.

can't speak for M1 Pro, but my M1 Max with caldigit element hub and two external monitors didn't trigger any fan operations.
