This is going to be my first IPhone...

I really want a white one but after looking at the thousands of people with cracks...is the 3G S still going to be as bad with cracking as the 3G?

I know the black one cracked almost as much but the crack couldnt be seen...have apple fixed this issue..thanks..

Most people don't even have them yet.
And search.

Has Apple even acknowledged this as a problem?

If yes, then they'd have made some kind of announcement…

But knowing Apple, Inc. they would have kept the problem in-house and quietly fixed the issue or done nothing.

Of course, since no one has even received the latest model, who knows? ;)

Do you reckon i shud just get the white one then?

Both the wife and I own iPhones and neither of them have shown any signs of cracking. She has the unfortunate habit of dropping hers as well

I don't know if this is a truly acknowledged problem or one they quietly and quickly fixed, either way, I'm sure they've addressed the problem in the 3Gs

I would say it's unlikely, because no doubt Apple will have resolved the issue, and given that the 3GS uses the same casing... :)

cool thanks...i just dont want to get one and be gutted tht it cracks
