Will the 3GS be as fast as the 2nd Gen iPod Touch?

I haven't seen any discussion on this and was wondering if its as fast? In most App reviews the apps always run faster/smoother on the 2nd Gen Touch in comparison to the iPhone 3G. So will the 3GS run faster then the touch?

I know the 3GS has to have more things running in the background (Cell network,etc) and the Touch doesn't but just wanna know anyhow

It should be on par, if not faster with the 2nd Gen iTouch
