Can't seem to find much on this - with it being basically confirmed that we are getting an iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X, what will the design of the 8 and 8 Plus look like? Will they look like the 7/7 Plus, will they look like the iPhone X but with lesser features, or will it be an entirely new design unlike the 7/7 Plus and unlike the 8 Plus?

I've seen the leaks - that's part of the confusion.

The leaks, at least from what I've seen, extensively seem to cover the "iPhone X" but I'm not seeing much on the 8/8 Plus.

Not to mention there are numerous tech sites that have been calling "iPhone X" the "iPhone 8" for a long time, so at the end of the day I never really know which phone they're talking about. Garbage in, garbage out.

The 8 and 8+ will look the same as the 7 and 7+ apart from the glass back and camera orientation and new blush gold colour.

1) This is gonna create a huge amount of confusion tomorrow as the press has been referring to the "new iPhone" as the 'iPhone 8"

2) OP, the 8/8+ is expected to have a similar size and screen as the 7/7+, but with a new glass back, metal edge, wireless charging, etc. The new phone will also likely have a new processor, camera upgrades, etc, but those have not been leaked as extensively as the iPhone X features.

Thank you all, answers my question perfectly - so in other words, it's a new but similar design...somewhat of a mixture between the 7/7 Plus and the iPhone X.

Point number 1 is exactly why I wanted to ask the question - when the press is confused/lazy, the masses end up with bad information.
