Will the Apple monthly plan phone work on Verizon?

Verizon has major issues using unlocked phones on their network. They pretty much hate it, and will not give you a line discount fee because the MIEI / Serial numbers don't match as being a Verizon branded phone. I tried this with iPhone 6 unlocked (bought from T-Mobile) and they would periodically kick it off the network and were unable to apply promotions to my account until I got a Verizon model.

Anyone know if this will work on their network properly?

It should. I bought my 5s direct from Apple 2-years ago and had no issues adding it to my Verizon plan. Same with my iPad A2 when I added it this past spring. The monthly plan phone should be the same.
