My uni-body Macbook Pro (bought last July or August) CD slot seems to be malfunctioning in terms of taking a couple of tries to eject the CD. I've put up with it for a month now, but thinking of taking it in today to see if it can get fix. I've analyze the situation and it seems that a piece of fabric that's in the CD slot seems to be loose and is blocking the CD from ejecting. Will they be able to fix this or will I have to send it in to Apple?

Depends on the store, but they'll likely ship it to Apple. If you don't have AppleCare make sure you get it taken care of before your year expires.

If its just a matter of swapping the drive, then I am fairly certain they can do it in store. You may have to wait until the part comes in though.

Spend $300 on Applecare to fix a $70 drive. ;)
