My 2G iPhone which has three dead pixels, and is really buggy, and my friends 3G that has two dead pixels, and is also really buggy. We have both tried to restore.

Thanks.

If they are under warranty. 3g will def be but depends on when you got your first gen.

It was got just before the launch of the 3G, should we be alright then?

They should still have replacement v1 iPhones. A couple of weeks back I took a friend of mine to get a replacement since her screen had been frozen for a couple of hours. Took less than ten minutes to get it replaced...

Let's see....since you can't perform the math, I'll do it for you. I'll even talk slow so you can understand me.

One year Apple Care warranty. This...means...that...the....iPhone...is...under...warranty...for...one...year.

You purchased the iPhone around the May timeframe and it is now October. That means you still within the warranty period.
This...means...Apple...will...repair...or...replace...your...defective...iPhone.

If you need any additional assistance or clarification, just let us know.

Great post. You couldn't get any clearer than that.

Have you tried calling Apple and asking them?
