Will the Apple TV 4k work with a non 4k tv ?

Guessing so but wanted to make sure.

I know a new apple tv 4k is coming out soon.
 
Yes, I'm using a 4k on a 720p TV.
The menu option allows you to change the resolution if needed.
There is I believe some options for older tune TV's too
