Sooo...

I know there's no GPS in the Apple Watch, but could you still take it for a run, where it would then store your steps, and heartrate data, then to be synced up to the iPhone when you connect it later?

Maybe a stupid question, and maybe no one can answer.
 
I bet it does store the steps, plus heart rate to monitor how hard you are working, to sync later. It won't say where you ran, but it will say how long and how fast, etc.

I wonder if you can tell the app what the distance is for a known course, so it can calculate the MPH or minutes/miles later. Or you can do that yourself.
