Will the back scratch as much as the Touch?

I notice the back of the new 3G iPhone is the same black glass material as the front. On the iPod Touch the front part rarely scratches but the back is so easy to scratch. Does this mean I won't get loads of them on the back of my iPhone?

I found 2 new iPhone 3Gs on display at my local o2 shop today.

The back is very hard and doesn't look like it will scratch without a serious gauge.
