The reviews are overwhelmingly positive on this new 13” MacBook Pro with most stating that the performance from the 1.4 ghz chip is really good.

I’m trying to determine if this new MacBook Pro will feel like an upgrade from my current 7 year old Mac Mini?

My Mini’s specs are:

Late 2012 Server
-i7
-Replaced spinning drive with 1TB Samsung EVO SSD
-16 GB RAM

I was also considering an iMac but of course the portability of the MBP is a huge advantage.

Thanks for any insight.

yeah probably will.
The late 2012 quadcore mini was good tho, so it won't be :woah insane: but it will be noticable.

Do you think the MBP will function well as a desktop replacement hooked up most of the time to a 24”-27” display?
