Im thinking of switching to apple phone but im coming from a 1920x1080 full 1080p android phone. My question is will the display not be worse its only 720p and this is 2014. I have not seen a 720p screen since 2013 on android and were going into 2015!

Oh and iphone 6 plus is to big for my what i like. Thats the real issue here why did apple make the screen worse on the smaller phone?

Well in my opinion, in real life use you would have to look at the display very closely to even notice a difference. I have almost perfect vision and can't notice that much of a difference between the 6 plus and the 6 unless I put it very closely, and most of friends think the same.

Only my opinion tough.

So if i have used a 1080p phone for for 2 years i should not notice a differnce?

i think you'll notice.

I have the 6+ and a lot of the apps look ugly still and big, blurry, etc because they are all for 750p or 640p.

but in terms of actual video watching like youtube, netflix, movies, whatever, you wont notice at all in terms of quality. the only thing you'll really notice is the loss of shear real estate with a 1080p 5" screen.

Those apps have not yet been updated for the iPhone 6 screens, so that's likely why they look that way.

That's not a knock on the phone and will be resolved as developers update their apps.

Is this an android ad or a joke? Go to the store and see for yourself. Others can't tell you if you'll like the screen. As with cameras, resolution doesn't tell the whole story. There is color, dot pitch, view angle, brightness, etc.

Here is a recent phone at 720 lines.

Don't you think this is Apples / apples as it were?

The iPhone 6 1334x750p display is more impressive than plenty of mid and even high end 720p displays...pixels are not everything...allot of these "improvements" brought from 1080p <5" screens are 10% miniscule and 90% placebo...

Wait.....people actually watch movies and Netflix on a cell phone? Isn't that a job for a 60"+ plasma?? :D

Not on a subway or in the car....I could easily say "cell phone? WHy don't you just use a pay phone!" Ones portable and one is not...
