Will the iPad be able to play 2K video from Youtube?

As I am sure some of you know Youtube offers 2K video now, so will the iPad be able to run 2k video?

The 2K is when you click the video quality and click "Original"

I just played that on my "new iPad" and it looks really good but couldn't tell if it was 2k or not i'm going to say it wasn't.

Pretty sure the iPad's YouTube app won't even stream 1080p videos. Which is what 2k basically is, 2048x1080 instead of 1920x1080.
