I have a first gen core2 iMac and wonder if updating to whatever the latest os x build is will cause issues...

see, when I first installed leopard when it first came out I had a TON of video issues such as screen freezes where you could hear audio and not use video etc... an update (the first update that came up) fixes this but the little video glitches remain.

so are there any major things that can go wrong if i update to the newest build?

Generally speaking, the updates are provided to fix issues like this.

I just wanted to check and make sure... when I saw the update was 606mb in size I figured it was a major update.

in all fairness I haven't updated in a long time. the computer was being used as a windows machine which we have replaced and now I get my mac back!
