If I understand it correctly, the 2018/2020 MBA has a 10W chip. And the M1 is 15-20W. Doesn’t that mean the M1 produces more heat? And the 2018/2020 MBA, although not having a heat pipe, at least has a fan. I’m afraid the M1 MBA will be very warm, which I not really like. I prefer a 2000k RPM fan.

Am I wrong?

The M1 running in the Air enclosure will stabilize at around 8-9 watts. It won’t get warmer than an iPad.
