I strongly suspect that it will work just fine, though I guess I might need 10.5.2 for drivers when that appears, but does anyone know for sure?

My MacBook ethernet port died after a cable trip (magsafe lets go, RJ-45 doesn't). A logic board replacement is ~$400 (though that would also upgrade me to a C2D), so I'm looking into this as a much cheaper fix. There are almost no USB ethernet adapters that work well/properly on a Mac (since every machine comes with ethernet already), and I don't really want to go down the dodgy/badly supported third party driver route.

Likewise I'd suspect it would work fine except that on the Apple store it's got the Macbook Air listed as a requirement. I guess it will be impossible to tell until someone tries it out or we get the go ahead after 10.5.2 comes out as you said.
