Will the new Iphone make potential Ipad buyers go with Ipad 2?

The reason I say it is the Ipad 2 is much cheaper. Ipad 3 sadly won't have the lightning connector unless they do a mini refresh if the Ipad mini launches. I bet many potential Ipad owners may be put off the third model now we know new connectors and nano sims ect.. are all due?

IPad two doesn't have it either so why would they buy that.

Not seeing the correlation here. Care to explain further? The iPad 3 is better than the iPad 2. Neither have the "lightning" connector. So what's the logic of going with the 2 over the 3?
