Theoretically yes, not to mention that you can also upload videos directly from the device, edit them directly on the device and take still photos with it, which to my knowledge are all things the flip video cannot do without being connected to a computer (unless there is a model that does those things now). With iMovie you can do even more.

The flip video is also HUGE if you have seen one, I have a first gen flip, and the new ones are much thicker, I actually prefer my first gen model to the new ones because of the size difference. The iPod is thin, and as the ads say, its always with you so you don't miss an opportunity for a video.
