Will the new USBC 5K monitor be comparable with the rMB?

I assume you mean compatible? No it's not compatible. The Macbook requires Thunderbolt 3 to be able to drive the 5k display.

I'm afraid that even the next revision won't support the 5k monitor. Kaby Lake doesn't natively support TB3.
