will the next version of blackra1n untether an already tethered jailbroken phone?

hi guys, i understand that i will have a tethered jailbreak and what not, but i was just wondering, if i go through with this, will the next version of blackra1n overwrite blackra1n rc3 therefore giving me an untethered jailbreak? i really hope it does cuz i dont want to have to restore then rejailbreak when it comes out.

To what 'next version' are you referring? I do not believe Geohot has any plans to update blackra1n. In fact, he has repeatedly and expressly denied that he has any intention of working on an untethered jailbreak.
 
if he does come out with another version it will over right the current one u have installed. it will turn the tethered into an untethered

And what is the source of this claim you are making ?? :confused:

And it's "overwrite" not "over right". Over write sounds like how one might order his/her eggs !

THERE IS ALMOST NO CHANCE OF A "NEXT VERSION OF BLACKRA1N". AND THERE WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE ONE ANYTIME SOON.

Well, in this case I called out gigapocket1, but no response yet.

Probably busy ordering his eggs "over right" (see my previous post #5)
 
First off, why would anyone work on a new JB for 3.1.2, we were suppose to have been in a new upgrade cycle since Sep. Now why someone would want to release a JB when it all could be undone any day and now there is suppose to be a new OS 4.0 coming tomorrow (or at least announced). I'd rather that everyone including geohot (who has school to worry about), save there energy until this "revolutionary" iPhone OS comes out.

I just want AT&T finally to offer tethering so I can just forget about all this JB crap. Geohot and others have already provided a service above and beyond what others offer.

That's a question for the developer, not us.
