Will the original iPhone go down in price?

The 8GB right now is selling for more than $300 on ebay, how much do u think it will be when the 3G one comes out this friday?

Is it advisable to buy the original 8GB iphone for $200 right now or should I wait? that way I wont have to pay for the plan and be stuck with a contract.

until the 3g iphone can be unlocked an purchased for fairly cheap, i wouldn't expect current iphones to drop in price for a long time.
