If so is there any way to revert it back to 5.01?

The reason I'm concerned is because everything I have read about the iOS 5.1 and 5.1.1 updates states that the battery life is now worse. Is this true?

Also, will I probably get a refurb? Is this just as good as new?

Thanks.

Depends on how long the phone was sitting on the shelf at that particular apple store/warehouse. I don't think there is a way to go back to 5.01 unless you have your blobs... and even then it's not technically the same phone so who knows. If it's any consolation, I got my 4S about a month ago and it still had 5.01.

Isn't it almost universally reported that battery life is worse w the newer updates?

Don't believe everything you hear (or read); my battery life is fine.

Not to mention -- you have absolutely no say whatsoever in what iOS is on it; so don't worry about it.

Well if it is worse I will keep my current phone and put up with the glitch, as annoying as it is. I don't want to make my battery life any worse.
