Will the unlocked iPhone 4S price drop soon?

Currently the price for the unlocked iPhone 4s is $549 (direct from Apple). We are pretty close to the iphone5 release date and the price for locked versuons of the 4s has already gone down.

Any idea, based on history, whether the price of the locked versions will drop?

That is the reduced price, it was $649 before last weeks keynote.
