I know there used to be an app in cydia that would boost the volume on earlier iPhones. I never used it since my 3GS was loud enough, but since getting the i4, the volume is considerably lower and it sucks streaming music now when I'm at work. Hoping that app is still in cydia and will be os4 compatible when i4 gets jailbroken.
