🤔

Even though iOS 18 had only 18.0.1 before 18.1, there is precedent:

Both iOS 16 and iOS 17 made it to x.0.3 before x.1 as well as iOS 15.0.2 making a debut two weeks before iOS 15.1 release.

Note, typically, the x.1 updates launch in the last week of October (when the original is launched sometime in September).

26.0.1 and watchOS 26.0.2 cleared the few consistent bugs I noticed.

While this is true, look at how quickly 16.0.1 released after 16.0, only two days.
Then 16.0.2 was out eight days later.

Meanwhile, there was already two weeks between 26.0 and 26.0.1.
Clearly, there wasn’t any bug big enough for Apple to rush out 26.0.1, and the launch of 26.1 is likely just three weeks from Monday.
I personally think we will only see 26.0.2 if something major comes up, like the Wi-Fi disconnecting bug.
But mostly what people seem to be complaining about are UI glitches, which X.0.2 updates are unlikely to fix anyway.
