I never own a iphone before so I am not sure if there were any defects that people experienced with launch iphones. I am just wondering since there were problems with the Nintendo DSi that has backlight bleeding, possible dead pixel, and crack swivel, the thing that held the two screens.

Yup, you will see glass cracking threads/dust under screen/dead pixel(stuck pixel) threads within 5 hours of launch LOL. ;)

Any product launch you will always have some units that will have minor defects. And yes, like other members have said, you will see an endless number of posts on Thursday that will list all minor defects of the new iphone. Those real and imagined. :)

If you get an iphone that is actually factory defect, then Apple will rush you a new one through the mail. Apple is good about taking care of any products that don't meet their standards.
