Will there ever be HMDI -> TB Display?

I know the thunderbolt display can only be used with TB macs just now

but will it be possible to use it with dvi/hdmi devices at some point?

Will an adapter ever be possible or is it something thats just not possible?

Apple displays typically do not have lots of inputs. I would guess the chance is low, unless Apple TV changes things.

The ATD is a very high resolution display (2560X1440), and has about 2X the pixels as a typical 1080P display. HDMI specs (last I checked) maxed out much closer to the relatively low resolution of 1080P (1920X1080).

I'm afraid no, it does not work. The thunderbolt display ONLY works when plugged into an actual thunderbolt port on a computer.

By the way, your link doesn't work either.
