Will these Ear Buds work w/ iPhone 3G

I was going to purchase the V-MODA - Vibe Ear Bud Headphones - Flashblack Chrome ( Model: V-FLASHBLACK2 | SKU: 9115272 ) on bestbuy.com but someone told me that they are not compatible with the 3G iPhone. Is this true? Thanks for your help!

yeah i have the same question.... i just received some hiliday money and wanted to get a nice par of headphones for my iphone 3g ... so i was looking at the apple store then i went to best buy... and theres just no way you can tell if they will work smoothly... waht i want is to have upgraded sound from the head phones u get out of the box but i want to keep the freature with the little bar that you click to pause then double click to choose next song ... and also being use as a micro phone.... thats what i want... my pricerange is anyswhere from 150 but i would like to spend more like 70 80.... so just wondering if any of you guys know from ur own exsperience what i should doo

they will work. You just won't get click control and a mic to make it useful for calls. I have the vmoda earphones made for the iphone with built in mic and button. I love them.
