I have an old stick of memory that I ordered last year for my iMac, but then kept the stick when I returned it. I was wondering if I could use that stick (purchased directly from Crucial) along with this other one from Amazon.

To me, specs all seem to match up...I just am a bit confused why direct from Crucial seems to have different part numbers for specific models (even though the RAM specs seem exactly the same).

Which one the "iMac" stick or the other one?
They are both the exact same specs. It should work but if you just buy the one you have again you're on the safe side either way.

Well, I got the one from Amazon and popped it into the MBP along with the older stick that was directly from Crucial. After an hour, no issues at all and all seems well!
