Hi,

I've dropped my 6s+ dozens of times in the last 25 months often on concrete and from about 2-4 feet. I was using the Incipio thin plastic case with a lip around the screen. I have never cracked a screen and the phone is working properly.

I got the Incipio NGP Case for iPhone X and was wondering if that will be enough for protecting the back glass?

What kind of case did you get to protect the back? Is there no way to prevent back glass breakage?

Has anyone dropped their iPhone X yet? What case did you use if it protected the X?

Prevent if from breaking? Don’t drop it at all let alone DOZENS of times

I feel no matter what case you get you should have Apple Care for your iPhone.

There is not guarantee any case will 100% protect your iPhone. Seen videos where just 3 feet drop can crack the glass front and back. You can't take chances.

For IPhone X Apple Care is a must.

i haven't cracked an iphone screen since 3g. i always use a case. just concerned about the additional point of failure since apple is gouging us even with applecare+. I have applecare+.

It's a must for peace of mind. Otherwise you will always be worried and not enjoy the phone as much.

Some credit cards provide insurance for damage and loss if you use it to pay for the cell phone bill.

It’s funny you mention this.

I just dropped my iphoneX on the floor, it was about maybe 3 ft from the linoleum...

Not a crack on the screen, or scratch...I guess I’ll still be getting a phone case because I have a habit of dropping phones and I doubt it’ll be unbreakable forever.

Never broke an iPhone in an Otterbox (also never broke an Otter Box). And with a tech21 case on iPhone 6, 6s, and 7+ I've only broken Zagg glass screen protectors but not the screen.

This year with my iPhone X I'm using a Belkin glass screen protector on the front (Apple installed it in store) and an Under Armor case with thick rubber sides and clear plastic back so I can see the gorgeous silver glass back. I feel pretty safe with this (and Applecare+).

I just dropped it out of my pocket from 3’ onto concrete and cracked screen. No case.

That sucks - sorry. I always buy a new case before I even pick up a new iPhone. I hope you have AppleCare+ even though it's too freaking expensive - more than $99 is ridiculous!

I bought through Best Buy for this reason, I have never had AppleCare + and I have been lucky and never needed it. I have had every phone released (except for 8) and I have had 100's of drops way worse. I bought a case now... just sucks I really wanted to hold this sexy phone..
