Hi guys,
With my 250gb Aperture library topping out my 500gb hard drive on the mbp, I desperately need a solution to expand the remaining 50gb free space. I don't want to use an external hdd for my photo library because I don't want to forget to bring it and be in a pickle. I plan to get a SSD for boot drive, and the older 500gb 7200rpm drive as scratch drive.
I am thinking of putting a 2nd hdd in the superdrive bay, I was going to buy the $99+ optibay from MCE until I came across this on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/2nd-HDD-caddy-A...es_HardDriveEnclosures_RL&hash=item414f7ada34
It is so much cheaper, and it ships from Hong Kong, where I am currently working.
So my question is would this fit well in a 2008 Penryn mbp? I am going to stick with the 9.5mm drives, won't use the 12.5mm ones.
Thank you for any input, it will be greatly appreciated!
