Will this 9.5mm Blu-Ray drive fit?

I really don't see why not, the stock UJ-868A is the same 9.5mm dimensions as this UJ232A Blu-Ray drive.

Does anyone actually have this drive installed in their Unibody MacBook Pro 15"?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this is supported on OSX so really can't see the point in installing this even if it does fit.

I dont see the reason for a blu ray drive in a MBP anyway?

if your gonna use it on your TV get a blu-ray player its cheaper..
or get a PS3 you get games and a blu-ray player.

you cant get 1080p in anything but a 17" MBP so the vast majority...

why not just download from itunes? its cheaper than a blu-ray and more easily useable on other media like TV just you flash memory sticks?

The specs look right, but it's tough to tell without someone trying it first.

You can burn discs with Toast 10 and you can play Blu-ray Discs with Make MKV and VLC.

That's a tray-loading drive. It won't work.

It will not fit!!

Despite being the right size it will not fit as it is not a slot loading drive.
