No, that cable is rated for 15W. I suppose the computer if turned off would eventually charge.

What you really want is a proper 100W USB-C cable for quick charging laptops, preferably Thunderbolt 3 for flexibility. There are cheaper options but the only third party brands I'll trust are Anker, Belkin and OWC. There are a lot of dodgy cable brands which may not follow UL safety standards. These cables are handling a 100W load not a 5W load. So, safety matters. Unfortunately I couldn't find any 2M long Anker or Belkin cables rated for 100W. Actually I found a Belkin but the price was insane. There are other good brands but I don't care to learn them all.

Thank you.

I was looking through the reviews and found this

Maybe it does do 30w after all.

It's only rated for 5V/3A. I would not use that on a 30W device.

I missed that it was just a regular Macbook. This cable from Anker will work.

Yes. That Amazon cable is suitable for up to 60 W, which covers all Macs under 15 inches. Additionally, you can see in the comments it was tested by Benson Leung. I own the 9 ft version and it is a good cable for power charging purposes.

The product listing is confused. All spec-compliant USB-C cables are required to support 3 A 20 V = 60 W. Special cables are only required when exceeding 3 A.

Thanks!

I'll get that one.
