I'm a noob at this, so excuse me for stupid question(s). Will Western Digital SATA 500Gb (WD5000BPKT) Scorpio Black hard drive fit my MacBook Pro mid 2009?

If not what else should I buy? Thanks

Yep.... that will work fine.

Definitely will. That's the exact drive I recently replaced with an SSD in the laptop in my sig.
