I have a Macbook Pro 15" 2.8 ghz. Right now there is a ST9500420ASG, 500 GB, 7200 OEM SATA from Apple drive in there.

Will it fit, will it work?

Most definitely not. That's a desktop sized hard drive.

No, that is a 3.5" desktop drive, you need a 2.5" notebook drive.
