Basically any sata drive will work in MP.
Just check that the jumpers are ok.
Some people say that on some brands the jumpers affect the performance (if they are sata 1.5 or 3.0) and they should be set correctly.
I personally didnt notice any difference in my maxtor 500 disks when i tried them.
Allso some segate 750Gb disks had problems with drivers in MP, resultin in decreased performance.

But,you, just buy and enjoy!

Yes it will. Although it seems strange that it says the interface is SATA/150, while it claims a 3.0Gbps transfer rate.

It will work regardless though. Just maybe at a lower speed.

Thanks guys!
I'll go purchase it today. Ugh.. I hate backing things up.. takes up so much time.
Will this Harddrive be noticed in XP too?

Check out Frys/Outpost
I ordered 2 400gig Seagates SATA II for $79.99 each they will be here tommorow

Depends on how you format it. If you do FAT yes it will. HFS, not so much. Natively at least, there may be a way to do it though.

Aren't they all NTFS? So there is a possibility that XP won't recongize the additional harddrives??

Install MacDrive on XP to recognize Mac formatted drives.

Mediafour.com

Is a lifesaver and affordable.

Okay So I picked one up finally.
How do I go about doing this?
Erase first then partition?
What volume format?

Mac OS Extended Journaled
MS-Dos File system
UNIX file system...
