Heres the Link LG external DVD Drive

since i have a macbook and macbooks only have combo drives.. so i want to buy a external dvd drive for my macbook so i can burn dvds and other stuff. but im not sure if it'll work with macs however.. please help!

To be honest, and perhaps this isn't quite the answer you want, I would recommend Pioneer rather than LG. You'd pay $110 for that, incl enclosure.

Pioneer is reliable, lasts the distance and works really well with Mac. See here: http://eshop.macsales.com/search/Pioneer. They're about 1/3 the price for the same performance. The 116D would suit your purposes well. Add the cost of an enclosure if you want firewire. If it's just USB2, you don't need an enclosure, a ATA-USB adaptor @ US$20 would do the job.

+1 for Pioneer. My home theatre system is Pioneer, excellent quality. But yea, save some cash. Drives are pretty cheap these days.

I have a slower burn speed version of the LG burner. Had to install it with PatchBurn on my Tiger machine, but Leopard seemed to recognize it without any additional steps.
