Will this mouse and keyboard work on a mac?

I have a microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard set.... The keyboard has alot of extra buttons... And the mouse has a back and forward buttons.... Are these programmable in osx? Specifically the keyboard is a Microsoft Wireless Desktop Elite Keyboard and the mouse is a Microssoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0.

I have an intellimouse explorer and the forward/back buttons don't work. As far as I know there are no drivers either. The scroll wheel does go up/down and left/right though.

Up to recently I had an Intellimouse optical. All buttons were working fine. Go to Versiontracker and download the Microsoft Intellipoint 5.4. It says that the driver supports Wireless Intellimuse Explorer.

You could try Gamepad Companion, which emulates a driver to make most of the features work with mac os x.
