But samsung ram is expensive.....

1gb of samsung ram costs about $100 bucks more than this ram...

this ram is super cheap and that's why I was wondering if it would work...?

or if it is a bad idea because it might not be very good quality..?

I bought that same samsung ram new on eBay for about 140 USD. How much is the patriot?

Really, don't buy generic crappy ram. You will wish you paid the extra money later.

Go for "Value" ram from a good company. Crucial is a safe bet.

Second that last post.. bad ram will cause you plenty of mysterious kernel panics in the future.. and you will so regret getting it.
