The 4s retina is very washed out. Will this one more resemble the quality of the retina on the iPad 3? If so, its going to be incredible...
 
I assuming you're referring to the 4 inch retina display on the new iPhone 5.
The display on the new iPhone 5 is said to retain the same sharpness at 326ppi but yet at the same type increases colour saturation up to 44% (I think?). You should get AMOLED-like colours. Of course, sometimes too much saturation isn't good and there is a limit.
Not only that, in cell displays are known to be brighter and reduce glare as there are lesser layers. And the iPhone 5 has in cell display .
So the display on the iPhone 5 should be better. Washed out colours should be fixed with increased saturation.
